When the theme for World Tourism Day (September 27, 2025) was chosen as “Tourism and sustainable transformation”, many people immediately thought of Hue’s approach to tourism. In its development orientation, Hue tourism consistently focuses on promoting sustainable transformation, especially transitioning to green, sustainable tourism, adapting to climate change.

In response to the series of activities within the framework of the Autumn Festival themed “Hue in Autumn” of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People’s Committee of Phu Xuan Ward, is preparing a variety of exciting programs for locals and visitors. Among them, the most anticipated highlight is the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Festival, Hue Unicorn dance performances, and the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade through the streets in 2025.

The Co Tu people in hamlet 5, Nam Dong commune (merged from Huong Xuan, Thuong Nhat and Huong Son communes) still call Village Elder Tran Dinh Lua (72 years old) the “living treasure” of their village. To this day, he is one of the few remaining people who preserve the sacred sound of the gong that has been intertwined with generations of the Co Tu people.

On the morning of September 29, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online meeting with local authorities regarding the recovery from Typhoon No. 10. Immediately after that, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the City Steering Committee for Civil Defence; and Colonel Phan Thang, Standing Member of the City Party Committee, Commander of Hue City Military Command, organized a meeting to implement measures to overcome the typhoon's aftermath in the city.

That is the vast green casuarina forest that the people of Thai Duong Thuong village (formerly Hai Duong Commune, now part of Thuan An Ward, Hue City) planted decades ago to shield them from the winds, stop the sand, and protect the village. Amidst the vast sky and land, the casuarina trees grow lush and strong, becoming a sturdy shield, guarding the village from waves and winds, and the harshness of the sea.

On the morning of September 21st, the Association for people with Disabilities - Support for people with Disabilities and Orphans (ADSDO) held a ceremony to award coaches and athletes who achieved outstanding results at the 2025 National Championships for Athletes with Disabilities.

On the afternoon of September 19, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City, held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Duong Thuan Phong, Acting Consul General of the People's Republic of China to Da Nang city, and his delegation during their working visit to Hue City.

That was the message shared by Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, at the seminar themed “Green Transition and Strategy to Attract Industrial Investment in Hue City”, co-organized on September 19th by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Packaging Recycling Alliance Vietnam (PRO Vietnam), and Hue City People’s Committee. Attending the seminar was Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee.

Having professional skills and a stable job is the dream of many young people from disadvantaged families. Through free vocational training courses linked to market needs, REACH Hue Center has accompanied them from vocational classes to the doorway of employment.
