The launch ceremony took place on the morning of April 22, drawing strong participation from students enrolled at member universities and affiliated faculties of Hue University, as well as those from universities, colleges, and vocational institutions across Hue City.

In line with this, contestants may submit their entries either as short-form videos or written pieces expressing their insights and reflections on publications featured in Hue Book Collection. Videos are capped at 5 minutes, while written submissions must not exceed 2,000 words.

The organizers have oriented the competition around themes including reflections on works from Hue Bookcase, fostering a reading culture among young people, experiencing Hue’s heritage through literature and books, and journeys of discovery inspired by books.

Entries will be evaluated by the organizing committee based on criteria such as content and message, creativity, technical execution, emotional impact, and outreach potential. In addition, an online voting component will also be included.

The organizers are expected to announced the results and present the awards on May 25, with a prize structure comprising 1 First Prize worth VND 3 million, 2 Second Prizes (VND 1.5 million per prize), 3 Third Prizes (VND 1 million each), and 5 Consolation Prizes (VND 500,000 each).  Young people participating in the launch ceremony

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, amid the rapid pace of digital transformation, access to knowledge has undergone significant changes. Younger generations are no longer limited to traditional reading practices, but are increasingly leveraging knowledge through digital platforms, open data, and especially artificial intelligence to support their learning and research.

As such, the competition is organized not only to promote the values of the initiative but also to foster a new generation of readers _ young people who can harmoniously integrate core knowledge with modern technology, and deep appreciation for Hue’s cultural heritage with specialized research capabilities.

“We hope that this competition will identify and nurture individuals with independent thinking, strong digital competencies, and the ability to effectively leverage technological tools and artificial intelligence in learning and research. In doing so, we aim to build a high-quality next generation that can contribute to preserving and promoting the value of Hue’s heritage in a new context,” Mr. Hai noted.
