HNN.VN - On April 24, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Franch Bolgiani, Cultural Attaché of the French Embassy in Vietnam, Deputy Director of the French Institute in Hanoi, on the occasion of his delegation’s visit and working trip to Hue City.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed recent cultural cooperation activities between Hue City and French partners and discussed the participation of French art troupes in Hue International Arts Festival Week 2026, scheduled to take place from June 13 to 18, 2026. The event is regarded as one of the city’s key cultural highlights, contributing to the promotion of Hue’s image to international audiences.

Mr. Franck Bolgiani expressed his delight at visiting and working in Hue, a city renowned for its rich cultural and heritage values, while highly appreciating the effective collaboration between French partners and the city in recent years. He added that France is actively preparing a series of diverse, high-caliber artistic programs for Hue Festival 2026, aiming to foster cultural exchange and further strengthen the longstanding cooperative and friendly relations between the two sides.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that Hue is a locality rich in distinctive cultural values, and the city is striving to become a centrally-run governed municipality on the foundation of preserving and promoting its heritage. In this process, the support and cooperation of international partners, including France, play a crucial role.

At the same time, he hoped that the French side would continue the close cooperation with Hue City in deploying specific and practical cooperative programs, especially a stronger presence in Hue Festival 2026 activities. He also called for increased support in heritage preservation, the training of high-quality human resources, and the development of signature cultural products.

Hue City is committed to creating all favorable conditions for the effective implementation of cooperative activities, contributing to reinforcing and developing the friendly relationships between the two sides in the coming time.
