On June 4, the Minister of Education and Training issued a decision appointing Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Rector of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, as Acting President of Hue University.

On May 30, the 2026 Imperial City Scientific Conference on infectious diseases was held at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. The event attracted nearly 250 delegates and almost 20 leading experts in infectious diseases, microbiology, and tropical diseases from across Vietnam.

The information was announced at the “Standardizing Quality and Enhancing Capacity in Primary Care and Family Medicine Practice” international conference, organized by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University over two days, May 19th and 20th.

On the afternoon of March 30th, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MicroPort MedBot (China) and Hanoi Foreign Medical (HFM) to establish the first Vietnam-China Robotic Surgery Training Center in Vietnam. This is considered an important step in the strategy for developing high-tech medicine, contributing to enhancing professional capacity and international integration of Vietnam’s healthcare sector.

On March 23rd, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University organized a career orientation program for students graduating in 2026 in an in-person format, attracting a large number of final-year students from various disciplines.
