Nearly 1,000 residents in Vinh Loc Commune, including beneficiaries of social welfare policies, people with meritorious services, disadvantaged families, near-poor households, elderly people, and children facing difficult circumstances, received free medical check-ups, health consultations, and medicine distributions. Residents were provided access to a wide range of healthcare services, including internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, dental and maxillofacial care, and dermatology examinations. They also underwent various diagnostic procedures such as blood glucose testing, ultrasound scans, electrocardiograms, X-rays, and osteoporosis screening. In addition to medical services, the organizing committee presented meaningful gifts to offer encouragement and support, while sharing with residents facing hardships.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Hoang Trong Quy emphasized that the healthcare sector not only fulfills its mission of caring and protecting people’s health through professional expertise and modern medical technologies, but also carries a profound humanitarian responsibility to support disadvantaged individuals, people with meritorious services to the nation, and families entitled to social welfare policies.

According to leaders of the Department of Health, the program went beyond a free medical check-ups and medicine distribution initiative; it also represented the healthcare sector’s compassion, sense of responsibility, and moral commitment to the community.

In recent years, the city’s healthcare sector has implemented a wide range of grassroots initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access for residents in disadvantaged and underserved areas where access to medical services remains limited. Free medical check-ups and treatment programs, along with community health consultation activities, have been carried out regularly, contributing to improving healthcare quality for residents while promoting humanitarian values throughout the community.

Through this program, the city’s healthcare sector hopes to continue mobilizing greater social resources to participate in charitable and community healthcare activities, contributing to social welfare and ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey of caring and protecting public health.
