The conference attracted more than 500 delegates and 110 presenters, including leading experts, lecturers, trainees, researchers, and healthcare professionals from hospitals, universities, and medical institutions across the country.
The event served as a scientific forum, bringing together specialists, scientists, policymakers, and healthcare workers to exchange academic knowledge, share practical experience, and discuss the latest advances in modern medicine, together with promoting digital transformation and the application of technology in healthcare delivery.
Presentations focused on some of the most pressing issues in contemporary medicine, including digital transformation in healthcare, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare management and patient care, chronic disease management, and strategies to improve patient experience. The conference also highlighted recent advances across a wide range of specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, oncology, anesthesiology and intensive care, nursing, clinical pharmacy, infectious diseases, rehabilitation, and many other fields.
Among the featured presentations, the one titled “Occupational Injuries Caused by Breaking Medication Ampoules – What Is the Optimal Preventive Solution?”, presented by Lead Researcher Do Xuan Vien, Head of the Emergency and Intensive Care Department at Vinmec Da Nang International General Hospital, attracted considerable interest from nurses and healthcare professionals.
As part of his research, Mr. Vien designed and developed V-AmpPro, a specialized multi-purpose ampoule-opening device suitable for glass ampoules ranging from 1 ml to 20 ml in volume. The product is expected to help healthcare workers open medication ampoules more safely, reduce the risk of occupational injuries, improve workplace efficiency, and enhance the quality of patient care.
