Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy appointed Acting President of Hue University

According to the decision, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy will serve as the Acting President of Hue University from the date of the decision's issuance until the Minister of Education and Training issues an official decision on the appointment for the President of Hue University.

During this period, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy will carry out the duties and powers of the President of Hue University in accordance with current regulations, ensuring stability in management and administration, as well as the effective implementation of Hue University's training, scientific research, international cooperation, and development strategy activities.

Born in 1969 and a native of Hue City, Mr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy was awarded the title of Professor in 2019, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Prior to this appointment, he served as a Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of Hue University, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Party Cell, and Rector and Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

He was nominated as a candidate in Electoral Unit No. 6 (comprising Vy Da and Thuan Hoa wards), and was elected as a member of the 9th Hue City People’s Council for the 2026 - 2031 term.
