| Outstanding students receive awards at the ceremony |
This year, 644 students completed the six-year Doctor of Medicine programs, including General Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, Traditional Medicine, and Preventive Medicine. Among them, 38 students graduated with excellent academic performance, highlighting the outstanding achievements of this cohort.
The university also conferred degrees on 505 pharmacists and bachelor's graduates in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Midwifery, and Public Health. Medical Laboratory Technology recorded the highest academic achievement among these programs, with six students graduating with excellent grades. On this occasion, the university presented certificates of merit to 97 students in recognition of their outstanding achievements in academics, scientific research, and extracurricular activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Bui Bao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, reaffirmed the university's educational philosophy of ‘Excellence – Liberal Education – Service’, together with its core values of ‘Knowledge and Compassion’. He expressed his hope that the new pharmacists and graduates would continue to uphold the university's traditions through lifelong learning, professional ethics, and continuous improvement of their expertise to meet the growing demands of public healthcare.
The University leaders said that the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University currently offers 11 undergraduate programs and 105 postgraduate programs. The university is among the country's pioneers in educational quality accreditation and continues to innovate its curricula through integrated, competency-based training aligned with international standards.
At the ceremony, the university leaders expressed their appreciation to faculty members, staff, and partner training institutions, especially Hue Central Hospital, for their contributions to medical education. The university leaders also encouraged the new graduates to maintain close ties with the university by pursuing postgraduate studies and contributing to the development of community healthcare.
