Signing the twinning regulation and building a peaceful border line

HNN.VN - On August 26, a ceremony was held to sign the twinning regulation between Hong Van Border Guard Station, Hue City Border Guard Command (Vietnam), and Border Guard Company 514, Salavan Provincial Military Command (Lao People’s Democratic Republic) in A Luoi 1 Commune.

The two units signed a twinning regulation with many important and practical contents, including coordinating in border management and protection; maintaining regular meetings and information exchanges; organizing joint patrols; and conducting communication and mobilization campaigns to encourage people on both sides of the border to strictly comply with agreements and regulations on border and checkpoint management and protection.

The two sides agreed to coordinate in combating various types of crime; supporting the efforts of search and rescue, as well as joining hands in the work of disease prevention and control; organizing cultural and sports exchange activities; and sharing experiences in building comprehensively strong units.

Leaders of both sides affirmed that signing the twinning regulation is a practical activity contributing to strengthening mutual trust, enhancing the special solidarity between the Vietnam-Laos border protection forces, and joining hands to build a border line of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development.
