On August 26, a ceremony was held to sign the twinning regulation between Hong Van Border Guard Station, Hue City Border Guard Command (Vietnam), and Border Guard Company 514, Salavan Provincial Military Command (Lao People’s Democratic Republic) in A Luoi 1 Commune.

A friend of mine just came from the Southeastern region to visit Hue. After a day visiting various destinations, from the Imperial Citadel to the tombs of Emperors Gia Long and Minh Mang, then heading to the Van Thanh - Vo Thanh temples and Thien Mu Pagoda, my friend warmly remarked: “In Hue, wherever you go, you can see the Huong River. Now I understand why people here are so gentle and friendly. In this scene, by this river, it’s hard even to get upset!”.

Flowing through the center of Hue City, the Huong River, a heritage river, is one of the iconic symbols of Hue Ancient Capital. Visitors to Hue will surely be enchanted not only by the Huong River but also by the peaceful, tranquil, and vibrant beauty of the Dong Ba River, the An Cuu River, and the Ngu Ha River, etc. This is why Hue is known as the “city of rivers”. Hue has come into summer with the peach of the sun and the sound of cicadas resounding on the canopy of leaves. Sometimes the spring still pours mist into the early sunrise and late sunset. With the desire to see ‘the region of weeping willow’ and the ocean in the middle of this time, we chose Tan My village (Quang Ngan commune, Quang Dien district - more than 15km north of Hue City) to enjoy the rustic, close and serene beauty of nature which is typical of the coastal village of Thua Thien on the other side of Tam Giang lagoon.

With immense nature, Tam Giang – Cau Hai is the home of various types of typical and unique seafood species. Now it is even becoming an attractive destination with those in love with experiencing watery life, loving “hunting” the moments of sunset and sunrise.

Hue Ancient Capital is not only well-known for its tranquil beauty with antique temples and mossy ramparts, but also famous for the peaceful and cozy feeling of the simple countryside and simple-hearted people.
