Giving 350 gifts to students and youth union members in mountainous border area

TTH.VN - That is a meaningful program organized by the Dong Son Commune’s Police (A Luoi District), in collaboration with various volunteer groups on December 28 and 29.

Hundreds of local residents seemed to forget the year-end cold spell as they immersed themselves in the joyful and lively atmosphere of the cultural and artistic exchange activities. On the morning of December 28, Hue Connecting and Sharing Love group presented 126 gift packages to poor and near-poor households, including essential goods and household items. The total value of these gifts is estimated at 30 million VND.

On December 29, the Police, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the commune, and a volunteer team from the University of Education, Hue University, organized a law dissemination campaign, and a series of activities, including a tree-for-gift exchanging activity, a 0-VND Tet market, and an activity of making chung cake, and a quat cake to give to the local people.

The unit also collaborated with many volunteer groups to give 350 gifts to preschool and elementary school students; give gifts to the local security and order teams; and donate clothing to the youth union members of Dong Son Commune, with a total value of 70 million VND.

This activity aims to help the younger generation better understand the customs and traditions of the highland people, while fostering the connection and sharing with those in difficult circumstances.
