The program opened with Hue Singing performances presented by students from Hue Junior School of Culture and Arts. Familiar melodies, such as Ly Hoai Nam and Ly Ngua O, not only created an impressive opening, but also evoked emotions, naturally and warmly drawing participants into the space of traditional art.
Speaking at the event, a representative of the organizing committee noted that although Hue Singing has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, it remains somewhat distant from young people in the context of the strong development of modern entertainment. For this reason, the talk show was designed as a bridge to help students approach Hue Singing through conversation, interaction, and direct experience, rather than through dry theoretical learning.
A highlight of the program was the interactive session with two guest speakers, including Vo Que, a poet, and female performer Le Thi Bao Tram (a student at Hue Junior School of Culture and Arts). Participants had the opportunity to hear insightful sharing about the origins, characteristics, and value of Hue Singing in cultural life.
Notably, the interactive session also raised many interesting questions around how to make Hue Singing more accessible to young people. Suggestions such as innovating communication methods, integrating it with digital platforms, and creating hands-on experiential spaces received significant interest from the participants.
