On August 12, Hue City Rehabilitation Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs and VietHealth Orthopedic Co. Ltd., launched a program to provide medical examinations, consultations, assessments, maintenance, and repairs of prosthetic limbs for people who have made contributions to the revolution in Hue City.

On the morning of August 12, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan received and held a working session with Mr. Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, Commercial Counsellor and Head of Economic Diplomacy and Trade at the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam, along with representatives from Carlsberg Vietnam.

On the morning of August 11, leaders of Hue Central Hospital said the hospital had held a discharge ceremony for patient N.T.L., 34, from Quang Ngai Province, who recently underwent the hospital’s 24th heart transplant. After nearly two months of intensive treatment, the patient has made a good recovery, with stable health indicators, and was deemed fit to return home.

One day in mid-July, Vo Que, the poet, and the Hue City Museum of History jointly launched his publication of ‘Loi ca chau ngoc’ (tentative translation: Exquisite Lyrics). Many audience members could not help but be moved by the heartfelt devotion of a man deeply attached to Ca Hue (Hue-Singing music).

After nearly two decades of practicing art, Mr. Nguyen Van He has found himself returning to one question: How can memories be transformed into hope? The Hue-born artist has “distilled” his answer into ‘Folding a Sky’, an exhibition he painstakingly brought from Kim Son Hill to Ho Chi Minh City to present to the public in mid-July.

In commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange Disaster in Vietnam (August 10th, 1961 - August 10th, 2026), on August 10th, Hue City Military Command, in coordination with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, relevant organizations, and the city's Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, organized a gift-giving program for Agent Orange victims facing particularly difficult circumstances in A Luoi 4 Commune.

Hue Festival has established the city as a prominent destination on the international cultural map. With Wonderverse Music Fest, Hue is taking a new approach: using music, technology, and creativity to tell the story of its heritage while aiming to build a distinctive festival intellectual property (IP) that will become a signature brand for the city.

On the afternoon of August 10, at the Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang City, a delegation of Hue City leaders, led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, paid tribute to H.E. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Politburo member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao National Assembly.

On the afternoon of August 9th, at Lieu Quan Hue Buddhist Cultural Centre, Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations, in collaboration with Lieu Quan Hue Buddhist Cultural Centre and the family of Nguyen Phan, a late painter, opened the exhibition ‘Nguyen Phan: Echoes of Returning Home’.

On the morning of August 9, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh conducted a field inspection of infrastructure supporting waterway tourism development on the Huong River, inspected the city’s urban flood drainage solutions, and checked on the progress in addressing coastal erosion at Thuan An beach.
