Maintenance and Repair of Prosthetic Limbs for People with Meritorious Service to the Revolution

Doctors and technicians adjusting, maintaining, and repairing the prosthetic leg for a wounded and sick soldier with limb loss

The program was held to improve healthcare, mobility, and daily activities, while enhancing the quality of life for wounded and sick soldiers and other beneficiaries with limb loss using prosthetic limbs in Hue City.

Under the latest prosthetic limb maintenance and repair program, 18 people with meritorious service to the revolution received examinations and repair services. Doctors, nurses, and technicians from the Rehabilitation Hospital, together with technicians from VietHealth Orthopedic Co. Ltd., examined and assessed the condition of their residual limbs and mobility, as well as the technical condition of their prosthetic limbs. They also provided consultations, adjustments, maintenance and repairs, and guidance on the safe use, cleaning and care of prosthetic limbs.

The initiative reflects the sense of responsibility and gratitude of authorities at all levels, relevant agencies, and the community toward people who have made contributions to the revolution. At the same time, it helps beneficiaries use their prosthetic limbs safely and appropriately, making mobility and everyday activities more convenient.
