After the historic flood at the end of October, many businesses, production facilities, and household businesses in Hue City were seriously affected. Deep and prolonged flooding caused damage to machinery, equipment, and goods, and disrupted business operations. Despite the significant damage, these units are striving to recover so as to quickly stabilize production and maintain jobs for workers.

On the afternoon of November 1st, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee; and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received flood relief support from Khanh Hoa Province, led by Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

On the morning of October 31st, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, together with leaders of local departments and agencies, received 1 billion VND in aid from Carlsberg Vietnam to help local residents recover from the recent flood damage.

On the afternoon of October 30, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat, visited and inspected the flood situation and post-flood recovery efforts in Hue City.

On October 18, Hue Central Hospital organized a specialized workshop titled “Off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) surgery”. The event aimed to exchange, update professional knowledge, and share practical experience regarding the technique of coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating heart - a modern method that helps reduce complications and shorten the recovery time for patients.

On the morning of October 2nd, at Hue Central Hospital, H.T.N. (45 years old, Thuy Xuan, Hue City) was officially discharged in stable health after nearly three weeks recovering from a remarkable cross-Vietnam heart transplant. This was the 20th successful heart transplant carried out at Hue Central Hospital, marking another important milestone in Vietnam’s field of cardiac surgery and organ transplantation.

On the morning of September 29, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online meeting with local authorities regarding the recovery from Typhoon No. 10. Immediately after that, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the City Steering Committee for Civil Defence; and Colonel Phan Thang, Standing Member of the City Party Committee, Commander of Hue City Military Command, organized a meeting to implement measures to overcome the typhoon's aftermath in the city.

On the morning of July 8, Hue Central Hospital announced that the unit had discharged and celebrated the successful recovery of the 18th heart transplant patient, N.V.Q (42 years old), residing in Quang Ngai province.

Along with the recovery and growth in tourist numbers, the luxury travel segment within Vietnam’s tourism industry in general - and Hue’s in particular - is gradually gaining attraction. The “smokeless industry” of the ancient capital is showing many positive signs, suggesting that with proper investment, it could become an attractive destination for wealthy travelers.
