Various organizations and businesses support Hue’s recovery efforts from natural disasters

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Deputy Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Phan Quy Phuong, representatives of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, and other related units.

Mr. Le Manh Hung, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Members’ Council of Petrovietnam, shared: “We are deeply moved to witness the damage caused by natural disasters and flooding to the people of Hue City. With the spirit of solidarity and the social responsibility of a key State-owned business in the energy sector, Petrovietnam hopes to join hands with the local authorities and residents to ease difficulties, help address the aftermath, and restore stability to people’s lives after the floods. Alongside our production and business tasks, the Group always considers social welfare and community support as an important part of our sustainable development strategy”.

On the part of Hue City leader, Deputy Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Phan Quy Phuong, expressed his sincere gratitude for the timely and practical support from Petrovietnam. He affirmed that Hue City is committed to using the financial assistance from Petrovietnam for the correct purposes, ensuring transparency and public accountability, and promptly delivering it to the households suffering the most severe damage, helping them quickly stabilize their lives and resume production. He emphasized that the solidarity and support from organizations and enterprises serve as a great source of encouragement, helping Hue overcome difficulties and continue on its path of sustainable development after the disaster.

World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam) provides 40,000 USD in support

 WWF-Vietnam handing over 40,000 USD to support Hue locals overcome the impacts of natural disasters

Previously, World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF–Vietnam) provided 40,000 USD in support to help the people of Hue City recover from the impacts of the 2025 natural disasters. Deputy Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh welcomed and worked with the delegation.

Mr. Van Ngoc Thinh, General Director of WWF-Vietnam, extended his heartfelt sympathy to the authorities and people of Hue City for the losses caused by the recent storms and floods. Responding to the call of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and with a long-standing tradition of cooperation and a commitment to accompanying Vietnam, WWF-Vietnam mobilized support from WWF International to help the people of Hue City overcome the consequences of the natural disasters and ease their immediate difficulties. The total support provided by WWF amounts to 40,000 USD.

On behalf of Hue City leaders, Deputy Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh expressed sincere gratitude for the timely, compassionate support and care provided by WWF-Vietnam to the authorities and people of Hue City. The support from WWF-Vietnam not only has material significance but also reflects the spirit of solidarity and sharing, helping Hue people overcome difficulties, restore production, and stabilize their lives. Hue City commits to using the assistance effectively and for its intended purposes, and hopes to continue receiving WWF’s partnership in future activities related to nature conservation, climate change response, and sustainable development.
