Khanh Hoa donates 2 billion VND to support Hue in post-flood recovery

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of November 1st, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee; and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received flood relief support from Khanh Hoa Province, led by Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, expressing deep sympathy for the difficulties faced by Hue residents affected by the late October 2025 floods, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh and the working delegation presented 2 billion VND to promptly support and encourage local people to overcome difficulties, restore production, and stabilize their lives.

This activity reflects the spirit of solidarity and mutual support of the Party Committee, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and People of Khanh Hoa Province toward provinces and cities affected by natural disasters, including Hue City. Mr. Thanh expressed his hope that Hue people will soon overcome the difficulties to successfully realize the Resolution of the 17th Party Congress of Hue City, building Hue into a heritage, cultural, green, and smart city.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung briefed the delegation on the flood damage that occurred in late October 2025. He emphasized that thanks to the effective coordination of the two levels of local government, the implementation of the “four-on-the-spot” approach, and the flexible, unified direction of departments and agencies, the city was able to minimize flood damage. At present, city leaders and local authorities have organized delegations to visit affected areas, assess damage, and coordinate with local governments to discuss practical, effective support measures.

Mr. Trung expressed sincere gratitude for the timely and heartfelt contribution from the Party Committee, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and People of Khanh Hoa Province, which will help Hue residents recover from the flood’s aftermath. The Hue City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will act as the coordinating body to quickly allocate and distribute the funds to localities and affected families, while monitoring and guiding residents to use the aid effectively to soon stabilize their lives.
