After its preliminary round, the 2026 Children’s painting contest based on books, themed ‘Drawing the Future with Books’, attracted over 350 paintings submitted by students aged 6 to 15 from across Hue City. Organized by Hue City Library, the contest selected 50 works from the entries for the final round, which was held on August 14.

From August 10 to 12, a team of staff from the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University) collaborated with a team of doctors from Hue Central Hospital to successfully carry out a series of trials of an automated surgical robotic arm system on an animal model (pigs).

Successful Heart Transplant Gives New Lease on Life to Patient with Organ Failure

On the morning of August 11, leaders of Hue Central Hospital said the hospital had held a discharge ceremony for patient N.T.L., 34, from Quang Ngai Province, who recently underwent the hospital’s 24th heart transplant. After nearly two months of intensive treatment, the patient has made a good recovery, with stable health indicators, and was deemed fit to return home.
