For the remaining nights, screenings will take place at 7:00 pm at Dong Ba Cinema (No. 187 Tran Hung Dao St., Phu Xuan Ward).
Additionally, to bring the film week to the grassroots, mobile projection teams will screen films at grassroots cultural institutions, ward- and commune-level community centers, the City Military Command, detention centers, Binh Dien Prison, and local schools across the city.
According to the organizing committee, the film week aims to raise widespread awareness among officials, party members, and the public regarding the victory of the August Revolution. It also highlights the era-defining significance and immense historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) in the nation’s history of construction and defense. Furthermore, the event affirms the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh in national liberation, construction, and defense.
The film screenings serve to raise historical awareness, foster patriotism, revolutionary heroism, national unity, national pride, and national resilience. Furthermore, they assert the accomplishments of the Party and the people in national defense, development, and the national reform process.
