In response to the severe damage caused by prolonged flooding from October 27 to 30, 2025, which deeply inundated many areas and seriously affected the lives of thousands of workers in Hue City, numerous businesses across the area have promptly implemented support measures to help employees stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

On the afternoon of October 30, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat, visited and inspected the flood situation and post-flood recovery efforts in Hue City.

On the morning of October 29th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online meeting with central provinces and cities including Hue, Da Nang, Quang Tri, and Quang Ngai to discuss emergency response measures to the extremely severe floods currently affecting the region.

On October 26, at Hue Central Hospital (Branch II), Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Vietnam Young Doctors Association and Hue City Department of Health, organized the program “CAREME - Love Yourself, For a Healthier Vietnam: Cardiovascular - Kidney - Metabolic Screening” to provide healthcare for disadvantaged people in the area.

As reported by Hue Central Hospital, they have marked a significant milestone in Vietnamese medicine by successfully performing the first kidney transplant in the country using the LifePort hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) system. This is a breakthrough in organ preservation technology, and opens a new chapter for Vietnam’s organ transplantation field.

At the 2025 National Student Vovinam Championship held from October 19th to 25th in Vinh Long, the Vovinam team of Hue University excellently won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals.

On October 23, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 2346/QĐ-TTg on the merger of Hue College of Medicine into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

In response to the complex developments of Typhoon No. 12, the Health sector of Hue City has implemented synchronous measures to ensure the safety of people, especially pregnant women, the elderly, and vulnerable groups.
