The exhibition is part of Hue Ao Dai Week 2026, drawing a large number of visitors, especially students.

Featuring over 250 documents and books, the exhibition centers on 3 main themes: including “Books - The Treasury of Knowledge” showcasing books and reference materials on Vietnamese culture and heritage; “Ao Dai - The Flow of Time” highlighting documents on the traditional ao-dai, ao dai ngu than (five-panel ao-dai), and the evolution of ao-dai through different historical periods, and “Books and Ao Dai - The Cultural Convergence” introducing innovative works by students on reading culture and ao-dai.

Also on this occasion, the City Library showcases various entries from the Digital Publication Design Contest on Reading Culture held under the theme “Books and Ao Dai - Nurturing Intellect and Honoring Vietnamese Identity.”

The contest received over 55 entries from secondary and high school students in Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan Wards. The submissions clearly showcased the students’ creativity and digital skills in promoting a love for books and ao-dai, and a pride in Vietnamese culture.

Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Oanh, Director of Hue City Library, shared that the combination of books and the images of ao-dai at this exhibition reflects the convergence of knowledge, tradition, and culture, thereby contributing to enriching people’s minds, inspiring national pride, and building up a reading culture in the community.

The exhibition is expected to provide audiences with various meaningful experiences while encouraging the love for books and reading culture, at the same time raising awareness of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in the new phase.

The exhibition lasts until July 17.
