Relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation continue to develop strongly, with Vietnam emerging as an increasingly attractive destination for Russian travelers. Given the considerable untapped potential for tourism cooperation between the two countries, Hue City's proactive efforts to strengthen partnerships and attract Russian visitors present significant opportunities.

On the morning of June 29, the 2026 professional training course for swimming and diving lifeguards officially kicked off at Hue City Sports Center, drawing nearly 100 participants, including officials and employees from agencies, organizations, and businesses across Hue.

On June 26, the Vietnam Women’s Union held a rally in Hue City to celebrate Vietnam Family Day (June 28), under the theme “Touching Hearts, Building Happiness.”

On the morning of June 26, Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, in collaboration with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward, organized a communication program on moral and lifestyle education within families. The event was held in response to the National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control and to mark the 25th anniversary of Vietnam Family Day (2001–2026).

On June 24, Hue City Women’s Union, in coordination with the city’s Forest Protection Department, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Small Grants Programme (SGP), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organized the program “The Cultural Colors of the Bru - Van Kieu People” in Phuc Loc Village, Hung Loc Commune.

On the afternoon of June 24, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan hosted a courtesy meeting with a delegation from Pacific Construction Group Co. Ltd., and Guotai Haitong Securities Co. Ltd., of China. The meeting was also attended by Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and units.

On the evening of June 22, Hue Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus, and the Belarusian Tourism Industry Association, held an online seminar to connect and promote tourism connections between Hue City and Belarusian localities.

“Attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Hue City for the 2026 - 2030 Period” was the topic of the consultation workshop jointly organized by the Department of Finance and the University of Economics, Hue University on the afternoon of June 22nd. ​

On June 22nd, Hue Central Hospital announced that patient P.M.D. (41 years old, residing in My Thuong Ward, Hue City), who received a heart transplant from a deceased brain-dead donor, had made a good recovery and was discharged from the hospital. This was the 23rd successful heart transplant performed at the hospital and the last of six recipients who received organs and tissues from the same brain-dead donor to be discharged.

On the afternoon of June 21st, Hue City Women's Union coordinated with Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation (Germany) to organize a training program on applying policy dialogue skills in practice for women's union officials and members.
