On the afternoon of December 17, Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, in coordination with the Tourism Development Support Fund and the Department of Tourism of Hue City, organized the National Conference on Net Zero Tourism in Hue. Attending the event was Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.

On the afternoon of December 16th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan held a reception and working session with a delegation from Carlsberg Vietnam Trading Co., Ltd. (Carlsberg) to discuss cooperation, promote collaboration, and outline future investment development directions.

This belief was shared by Mr. Ho Dac Thai Hoang, Chairman of the City Union of Science and Technology Associations, in a conversation with a Hue Today Weekly correspondent about scientific research and innovation, which is seen as the foundation for promoting the city’s science, technology, and socioeconomic development.

On the afternoon of December 8, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh received and worked with a delegation from the city of Cergy (French Republic) led by Mr. Moussa Diarra, Deputy Mayor in charge of International Cooperation.

On December 6th, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) provided financial support to help residents of Hue City recover from the damage caused by the recent floods. Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received and worked with the delegation.

On December 4th, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh held a meeting with Mr. Eric Soulier, the newly appointed Cultural Counsellor of French Embassy and Director of French Institute in Vietnam (Institut français du Vietnam - IFV).

On December 2nd, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan held a meeting with representatives of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company (VSIP) to hear a report on several proposed investment projects in the city.

On the afternoon of December 2, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, held an official meeting with ISET organization (The U.S), led by Mr. Michael Szönyi, Director of the Climate Resilience Alliance, Z. Zurich Foundation, and Ms. Karen Mac Clune, Executive Director of ISET in the U.S.

On the afternoon of December 1, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, conducted a field inspection at several key projects currently being implemented in the area.
