| An overview of the meeting |
At the meeting, city agencies and units introduced several locations with potential for urban, commercial, service and tourism development, including coastal areas for Sun Group to explore and study for possible investment. Information on the location, connectivity conditions and development orientation of each area was discussed to provide the group with a basis for selecting sites for further surveys.
Hue Monuments Conservation Centre presented the potential for promoting the value of heritage spaces such as Ho Quyen, Kien Trung Palace, An Dinh Palace and Tran Binh Bastion. Ideas included the use of lighting technology, staging performances, creating spaces for interpretation and exhibitions, and developing experiential services suited to the historical and cultural values of each site. Researching new tourism products would provide residents with additional ways to engage with heritage while offering visitors new experiences.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Le Tri Thanh emphasized that Hue has ample development space, natural landscapes and a rich history and cultural heritage. The city needs to capitalize on these local strengths to develop attractive tourism products with a distinctive Hue identity while meeting visitors’ increasingly diverse demand for experiences.

| Chairman Le Tri Thanh puts forward proposals for Sun Group to consider for investment |
According to the Chairman, connecting Hue with Da Nang and Quang Tri would help create a distinctive heritage tourism corridor in central Vietnam. Regional connectivity needs to be translated into specific routes, destinations and tourism products that bring together the strengths of each locality, allowing visitors to enjoy multiple experiences within a single journey. Hue, in particular, can capitalize on its heritage, landscapes and culture while strengthening cooperation with neighboring localities to expand its tourism market, attract more visitors and extend their stays.
Regarding the Huong River, the Chairman called on Sun Group to study the potential for developing tourism and service products on the river, along its banks and at points connecting with Hue Imperial City and other heritage sites. The city is currently focusing on developing a system of river piers, as well as tourism, entertainment and recreational activities on the river during both daytime and nighttime. He suggested that the group survey ideas for river-based services, riverside spaces and suitable lighting technology, thereby showcasing the beauty of the Huong River, creating additional experiences for visitors and encouraging longer stays in Hue.

Describing Sun Group as a major investor with experience in developing tourism and service products, the Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee expressed his hope that the group would study the strengths and locations presented by the city and propose ideas aligned with Hue’s development orientation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Chairman of Sun Group’s Central Vietnam region, shared his initial assessment of the city’s landscapes, heritage and potential for developing tourism products, including the Chan May - Lang Co area.
According to Chairman Binh, Hue has favorable conditions for developing additional products and services to meet visitors’ demand for experiences. Sun Group will continue gathering information and conducting field surveys at the locations introduced by the city as a basis for proposing potential investment research directions in the coming period.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Le Tri Thanh asked relevant departments, agencies and local authorities to continue providing information and coordinating with Sun Group throughout its research and field surveys. Following the surveys, the city and Sun Group will hold another working session to discuss in greater detail the locations and ideas that Sun Group is interested in exploring.
