On December 20th, the Provincial Employment Service Center, in collaboration with the Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC), organized a job fair for people with disabilities (PWD) under the theme “Opportunities for Everyone”. This event is part of the Inclusion 1 project, funded by USAID, which aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in areas heavily affected by Agent Orange during the war.

On the morning of October 20th, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Hue University (HU) hosted the final match and award ceremony for the Robocon Huet - 2024 competition, themed “Exploring Hue Imperial Citadel”.

Experimental music, popularized around the mid-20th century, is a completely distinct genre that utilizes a method of sound blending, as well as a variety of unconventional, diverse, and novel instruments. This genre is still new to domestic audiences, and there are a few artists who choose it as their musical path; among them is Vo Ha Hanh Nhan (born in 2002).

Emerging in the late 19th century and early 20th century, jazz quickly spread worldwide, becoming a genre that has attracted diverse cultures in various countries, regions, and communities. It has evolved into a popular art form, connecting with cinema, sports, literature, and many other disciplines. However, in Vietnam, the jazz-listening community remains quite small, lacking widespread venues for the general public. In Hue, jazz is particularly young, both in terms of its audience and the community of musicians who play it.

On July 20th, the provincial Red Cross Society, Oxfam in Vietnam, and the New Zealand Embassy in Hanoi organized a summary workshop for the project “Post-COVID-19 livelihood recovery for female farmers in particularly difficult and for difficult communes in Thua Thien Hue.” The event was attended by Ms. Caroline Rachel Beresford, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam.

For the first time, the “Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2024 & Car Camping Festival” off-road car racing event will take place at Thuy Tien Lake Park, Hue City. The event is organized by Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports, Southeast Asian Magazine, and Ky Nguyen (Epoch) Group Corporation, and will officially commence from June 20th to 23th.

At the 20th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Day event held in 2024 under the theme “20 years of thrilling journey” and accompanied by the program message “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City” (from April 4th to 7th), the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue Province participated in various promotional and marketing activities.

On February 20th, Hue University announced the launch of the 7th edition of the Hue University Start-up and Innovation Idea Competition.

On January 20th, the Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Intellectual Property and the Ministry of Science and Technology, held a ceremony of announcing, awarding and receiving the Protective Certificate of “Hue” Geographical Indication for Thanh Tra grapefruits of Thua Thien Hue province.
