45 products participate in STEM Day at primary school level

HNN.VN - On April 25, the Department of Education and Training organized the STEM Day at primary school level for the academic year of 2024 - 2025.

The STEM Day saw the participation of 45 competition products from primary schools across 9 districts, towns, and cities, including: utility watch, solar spinner, battery-powered electric vehicle, underwater animal world, balance scale, and sailboat model, etc. These are student-created products completed after the implementation of STEM education, the design of lessons and themes using an interdisciplinary integrated approach, and possess high applicability.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the products demonstrate a deep understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; highlighting the creativity and passion for exploration of the students. Through activities such as sketching ideas, creating products, sharing, and evaluating products, students develop teamwork skills and individual skills such as technical practicing, designing, presenting, sharing, and expressing emotions, etc.

Since the academic year of 2023 - 2024, STEM education has been widely implemented at the primary school level. Integrating STEM education into schools helps to realize the goal of developing students' competencies and qualities to meet new requirements. The STEM Day at primary school level also serves as an opportunity for the schools to exchange and share experiences in STEM education activities.
