Doctor Bill McClure said Resurge International was founded 52 years ago, pioneering in performing humanitarian surgeries.

Since 2011, ReSurge International has made the first volunteer trips to Vietnam and performed free surgery for children, including children in Thua Thien Hue.

Doctor Bill McClure wishes to continue to receive coordination and support from the government and related units for ReSurge International in its activities in the area.

Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh acknowledged the contributions of ReSurge International in performing free surgeries in Vietnam. He appreciated the program of the delegations this time with activities such as free plastic surgery, continuous training in the field of plastic surgery at Hue Odonto-Stomatology-Dentistry Hospital; signing a cooperation agreement between the Department of Health and Resurge International, and at the same time launching the Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery, Hue Odonto-Stomatology-Dentistry Hospital.

Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh said that Thua Thien Hue has been implementing solutions to "promote health care to become an important local economic sector, worthy of a specialized medical center of the whole country and Southeast Asia”. Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh hopes that in the future, ReSurge International will have more support programs in the free examination, consultation, and surgery for patients with birth defects in Hue.
