On February 22, Hue Dental Hospital (under the Department of Health) collaborated with Resurge International, Stanford University (USA), and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery to conduct screenings for patients from Hanoi, Long An, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and other locations. This program is part of the breast reconstruction surgery week for post-cancer patients.

On November 11th, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy welcomed the Alliance for Smiles Organization and the Rotary Club of Saigon to launch a surgery program for children with cleft lips and palates.

The donated organ from a 65-year-old woman, who was relatively lightweight from Hai Duong; the time of cold ischemia during transport across Vietnam was minimized; and the need to dissect the entire heart and major blood vessels before transplantation... These challenges were overcome by the medical team at Hue Central Hospital (HCH), bringing life to a patient with end-stage heart failure.

On January 17, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital shared that they had started the registrations for free surgeries for cleft lip - palate and congenital facial deformities.

Hue Central Hospital shared that on October 7, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep - Director of Hue Central Hospital, the endoscopy department doctors collaborated with Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE) have successfully deployed the technique to remove intrahepatic gallstones using peroral cholangioscopy with laser (Spyglass). The patient is Phan Thi T., 74 years old (from Thua Thien Hue).

On July 22, Hue Central Hospital informed that the second case of a patient who received a renal autotransplant was successful.

On April 11, Hue Central Hospital claimed that pediatric patient Tran Nguyen Thuy N. (12 months old) - a case of bilateral nephroblastoma that was successfully treated by the collaboration between the Hospital and St Jude Children's Research Hospital (USA) - has returned to Vietnam.
