On the morning of April 9, Hue Central Hospital announced the successful surgical treatment of a malignant mandibular tumor in a 14-year-old patient, marking an important advancement in the application of high-tech techniques and multidisciplinary coordination in managing complex maxillofacial conditions.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.

On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.

On March 17 and 18, Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, in collaboration with Nuoy Reconstructive International (the USA), organized a reconstructive plastic surgery program, providing treatment opportunities for many patients with maxillofacial deformities while opening up prospects for international cooperation in specialized healthcare.

On the first working day following the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 holiday, the number of patients seeking medical examination and treatment at healthcare facilities across Hue roses again. Several illnesses had increased, particularly among the elderly and patients with underlying conditions.

From February 13th - 14th, in Hue, the Khoi Su Tu Tam Foundation (Kim Oanh Group), in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, organized its key charitable program “Gieo Xuan Season 3 2026”, along with accompanying activities such as “Happiness Sprouts” and gift presentations for disadvantaged children, patients, and members of the local Blind Association. The total budget for the series of activities was nearly 700 million VND.

On the morning of February 11, Hue Central Hospital organized the “Compassion Bus” program, providing transportation support for underprivileged patients undergoing treatment at the hospital to return home and celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families.

On February 8, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital, organized the “Spring of Love” program to share support, offer encouragement, and bring a warmer Tet to disadvantaged patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.

​ On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on February 8th, the Trade Union of Thuan Hoa Ward organized the program “Tet Reunion - Spring in Gratitude to the Party”, featuring many practical activities to support union members and workers so they can welcome the traditional Tet holiday in joy and warmth. Hue Central Hospital also organized the program “Spring Tet Market” for disadvantaged patients currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

On the morning of January 21, Hue Central Hospital announced that on January 6, 2026, the hospital marked a significant milestone in Vietnamese medicine. For the first time, surgeons successfully performed a simultaneous surgery to remove two giant polycystic kidneys and perform a kidney transplant. This success not only opens up new hope for patients with end-stage renal failure, but also confirms the ability to master intensive organ transplantation techniques by Vietnamese medical teams.
