During the three-day program celebrating the 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being recognized as a beautiful bay of the world (from May 10 to May 12), more than 45,000 visitors went to Lang Co to visit, play, and experience tourism and activities within the program.

This information was announced by Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports on the afternoon of May 8, at a press conference to inform about cultural and sports activities in May 2024.

On the occasion of the long holiday from April 30th to May 1st, not only historical sites and tourist attractions in Hue City, but also most tourist destinations in Thua Thien Hue province also attracted a large number of visitors to experience, especially waterfalls, beaches, and lagoons.

Vietnam's tourism industry targets 18 million international visitors in 2024, matching the “golden” record of 2019. Thua Thien Hue is a province that has a thriving tourism industry. To accelerate Vietnamese tourism growth, Ancient Capital tourism should leverage favorable conditions, particularly cooperation with other countries, to promote the exchange of tourists.

As a meaningful highlight to attract tourists and people during the holidays of April 30 and May 1, the space to experience cuisine, poetry, and Ao Dai within the framework of Hue Traditional Cuisine Week 2024 at Thuong Bac Park takes place from April 27 to May 1, providing a place to have fun, experience, and enjoy regional cuisine throughout the country, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere for the long holiday.

On the evening of April 29th, at Thuan An beach, Thuan An ward, the People's Committee of Hue City organized the opening ceremony of “Thuan An – Call of the sea” festival 2024. The event was attended by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Member of the Standing Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council; city leaders; departments, agencies, units, enterprises; as well as domestic and international tourists.

In addition to the Hue heritage system, a large number of domestic and international tourists came to visit and offer incense of paying tribute at other historical sites in the province, with the largest number of tourists were at the Chin Ham historical relic site (An Tay Ward) and the Phan Boi Chau memorial site (Truong An Ward, Hue City).

Strong growth in the number of international visitors, as well as recognition from the press and the world’s leading prestigious tourism organizations, open up opportunities for Hue to put a spotlight on its tourism. It is expected that there will be bright colors on the big picture of Hue tourism in 2024 and the following years.

Based on statistics on the number of guests booking rooms at accommodation facilities and tourist attractions, it is expected that Thua Thien Hue will welcome a large source of visitors from other provinces and cities during the upcoming long holiday of April 30 and May 1, with an estimated 65,000 arrivals.

Located approximately 4km northwest of the center of A Luoi district, along the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the eco-tourism area of A Nor (Hong Kim commune) has now transformed into a vibrant homestay and farm stay hub in the highlands.
