Vietnam International Photography Festival to take place in Hue

HNN.VN - The 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival 2025 will be held in Hue City. This information was recently announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This is also one of the activities to implement the content and plan approved by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the Project on Building and promoting a national brand for Vietnam International Photography Festival in the period of 2020 - 2030.

Previously, the Vietnam International Photography Festival took place in Ninh Binh and Binh Thuan. This event created a good impression and effectiveness so that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to assign the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, along with relevant agencies and units to organize the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival 2025 in Hue City.

Through the 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival, the aim is to continue building the brand for Vietnamese photography. In addition, it contributes to promoting the beautiful images of the country and people of Vietnam, and strengthening international exchange through photography activities. At the same time, it contributes to enriching the activities of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025; collecting and enriching the photo collection for Hue, serving the promotion of Hue's culture and tourism.

The 3rd Vietnam International Photography Festival - Hue 2025 will feature many attractive activities such as: organizing exchanges and photo creation sessions in Hue City with the expected invitation of 30 domestic and international photographers over a period of 7 days; organizing a photo exhibition themed “Vietnam through the lens of international photographers” (3rd time) in Hue City, with an expected exhibition of 200 photos over a period of 10 days; organizing the award ceremony and opening ceremony of the photo exhibition themed “Vietnam through the lens of international photographers” (3rd time) in Hue City, with an expected attendance of 300 guests and the awarding of 20 equal prizes... along with other response activities co-organized by agencies and units.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests relevant agencies to have close and effective coordination. In addition, it is necessary to create public interest, as well as the interest of the photography community, both domestically and internationally, as this is an opportunity to help Hue tourism increasingly affirm its brand and position on the domestic and international tourism map.
