More than 350 players compete in Hue Students Football Tournament

HNN.VN - Hue Students Football Tournament 2025, competing for the Ba Na Hills Cup, kicked off in the afternoon of April 15 at the football field of Phu Xuan District’s Culture, Information & Sports Center (150 Nguyen Trai Street). The tournament is jointly organized by Hue University and Professional Sports Association and School of Hospitality and Tourism - Hue University.

The Hue Student Football Tournament 2025 (formerly the Hue University and Professional Sports Association Football Tournament) gathers more than 350 players from 10 male teams and 9 female teams representing: the University of Education, the University of Sciences, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, the University of Law, the University of Foreign Languages, the School of Hospitality and Tourism, the Faculty of Physical Education, the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, and Hue Industrial College, Hue University.

The men's football matches are being held at 150 Nguyen Trai Street. Here, the 10 teams are divided into 2 groups, competing in a single round-robin format, with the top 4 teams advancing to the semi-finals. The women's football matches are also divided into 2 groups, competing in a similar format and taking place at Ba Cong artificial turf field (1 Van Tien Dung Street, An Dong Ward - Thuan Hoa District).

Predictions suggest that the top 3 positions in this year's men's football will be a dramatic competitions between the University of Sciences, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, and the School of Hospitality and Tourism.

As for the women's football, it is expected to be fierce competitions between the University of Education, the University of Law, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Tuan – The Rector of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, and Head of the Organizing Committeee of the tournament, this is a playground to promote the football training movement in schools, contributing to improving physical fitness, building a healthy lifestyle for students, and at the same time, promoting the solidarity, exchange, and learning between units within the Hue University and Professional Sports Association.

The tournament concludes on April 27.
