Becoming a centrally governed municipality brings Hue new opportunities, and alongside its fresh, vibrant identity, people will think of Hue as a culinary city where quintessence converges.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

On December 20th, the Provincial Employment Service Center, in collaboration with the Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC), organized a job fair for people with disabilities (PWD) under the theme “Opportunities for Everyone”. This event is part of the Inclusion 1 project, funded by USAID, which aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in areas heavily affected by Agent Orange during the war.

I remember the first time I tried this dish was at the Thuy Bieu Thanh Tra Festival in 2022. The heart of a 24-year-old man traveled over 600 kilometers from Hanoi to Hue, bringing life to a peer suffering from severe heart failure. This is the 14th heart transplant performed at Hue Central Hospital and the 13th heart transplant across Vietnam by the hospital.
