On the occasion of welcoming New Year and the Lunar New Year 2025, the Year of Snake, on the night of January 14, Hue City People’s Committee held a new year meeting party with the participation of international tourists, volunteers, experts, and foreign investors working in the city area.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long recently signed a decision approving the plan to implement the healthcare network development strategy for the 2021- 2030 period, prioritizing the development of six hospitals to meet international standards, including Hue Central Hospital (HCH). With a 130-year tradition, Hue Central Hospital is seizing numerous development opportunities. On the afternoon of January 7, the People’s Committee of Huong Vinh Ward, Phu Xuan District held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Bao Vinh forging craft as a traditional craft, which was awarded by Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee (Hue City People’s Committee for now).

On the afternoon of January 3rd, the Department of Tourism held a conference to review its activities in 2024 and outline tasks for the tourism sector in 2025. Attending the event was Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

On the first day of the new year, a ceremony to announce the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 was held at Ngo Mon Square by the People’s Committee of Hue City.

Renowned as an ancient heritage city, Hue has emerged as a popular destination for both domestic and international filmmakers. Every architectural structure, scenic spot, or landmark in Hue can serve as a backdrop for different genres of films, ranging from feature to short ones. This has more or less contributed to establishing a brand, significantly boosting local tourism.
