Presenting 237 gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties

HNN.VN - On June 18, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City) held a program to present gifts to students overcoming difficulties to achieve excellent academic results in the 2024 - 2025 academic year.

Awarding gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties in the district area 

This meaningful and humanitarian activity was held to promptly encourage and inspire students in their educational journey.

A total of 237 students from disadvantaged families across the wards in the district were received gifts, with a total funding of over 120 million VND. Each gift is worth more than 500,000 VND, it included cash and school supplies, and was funded by the “For the Poor” Fund of Phu Xuan District.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Truong Quang Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Xuan District said: “Despite facing many hardships, these students have continued to strive and achieve commendable academic results. We hope these gifts will serve as a meaningful source of encouragement, helping them gain more confidence to keep their way to school and nurture their dreams and aspirations”.

Many parents and students expressed their heartfelt emotions after receiving the meaningful gifts. Minh Khang, a student from Huong So Ward shared: “At the start of every school year, my family always worries about the cost of education. Receiving this gift today makes me very happy, and I will try my best in my studies so as not to disappoint everyone”.

The program not only provided support for students to continue their education but also embodied the spirit of “The strong help the weak”, helping to spread a sense of compassion within the community.

On the morning of October 25, Hue Central Hospital and Hue City People’s Procuracy, in coordination with Thanh Nien Newspaper, Venerable Nun Thich Nu Tam Nguyet, and the Buddhists of Pho Hien Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City), organized a gift-giving program for pediatric patients in especially difficult circumstances who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
