On June 9th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to present the title of Outstanding Scientist in Science and Technology to Professor Kenneth D. Montgomery, an expert in arthroscopic surgery and President of Orthonations (USA).

On the afternoon of June 6, the Board of Directors of Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony to celebrate the success of a liver transplant case. This was the hospital’s second pediatric liver transplant and the third cross-country liver transplant performed by the hospital, marking another milestone in humanitarian medical achievements and extending the hope of life for children suffering from severe liver diseases.

The companionship of UNESCO and the international community has not only helped Hue’s heritage overcome difficult times but also gradually brought the preservation efforts of Hue’s heritage to reach international standards.

To the melodies blending traditional and modern tones, hundreds of models showcased ao dai collections in the ancient space of An Dinh Palace. Guests from home and abroad, along with Hue locals, were treated to an “art feast” that fused fashion, music, and heritage.

At the specialized session on “Green and Sustainable Tourism Development” held on the morning of June 6th within the framework of the 14th East Asian Local Government and Regional Conference, Hue affirmed its pioneering position in the region regarding the development orientation of environmentally-friendly tourism that harmonizes with communities and preserves heritage.

Hue is asserting its pioneering role in preserving and promoting heritage values, from tangible treasures to intangible performance spaces. A journey of “preservation for revival” with long-term vision, modern technology, and initiatives close to young people.

On the 10-acre field of red chiem rice (a traditional red rice grown in brackish lowlands of Hue City, sown by April and harvested by July), each planting season requires 40 to 50 hired laborers, and the harvest stretches over several days. Left untended and unfertilized, the rice grows naturally under the generous sun and rain. Some call it “heaven’s rice” — a variety grown from the grace of Tam Giang’s waters.

On June 2, at Phu Xuan Secondary School, the Office of Education and Training of Phu Vang District, in coordination with the “Enhancing Community Capacity” Project, held an inauguration ceremony of a swimming pool to help prevent students from drowning at Phu Xuan Secondary School, and launched a swimming and rescue training program for primary and secondary school students in Phu Vang District in 2025.

After winning a Silver Medal at 2025 Asian Physics Olympiad held in Saudi Arabia, Tran Le Thien Nhan (a 12th-grade student from the Physics Class 2 for gifted students) was once again selected by the Ministry of Education and Training as a member of the national team to participate in 2025 International Physics Olympiad.

On May 31, the Office of Education and Training of Thuan Hoa District held a ceremony to award students who achieved high results in various competitions.
