Promoting further cooperation between Hue City and China

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of September 19, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City, held a courtesy meeting with Mr. Duong Thuan Phong, Acting Consul General of the People's Republic of China to Da Nang city, and his delegation during their working visit to Hue City.

The visit by the Acting Consul General of China to Da Nang took place in the context of continued stable development of the Vietnam-China friendship and cooperation, opening up new opportunities for local-level exchanges and partnerships.

During the meeting, Mr. Duong Thuan Phong expressed his appreciation for the warm and respectful reception by Hue City’s leaders. He praised Hue’s status and role as a distinctive cultural and tourism center of Vietnam, and affirmed that the bilateral relationship between China and Vietnam has continued to develop stably and comprehensively across various sectors.

The Acting Consul General expressed his hope that the visit would help deepen cooperative relations between the Consulate General of China to Da Nang and Hue City, and foster greater connectivity between Hue and Chinese localities and businesses in fields such as economy, trade, investment, education and training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh welcomed the visit of the Chinese delegation and expressed his hope that the Acting Consul General, in his role, would continue to support and serve as a bridge to further promote cooperation between Vietnam and China in general, and between Hue City and Chinese localities in particular. He especially called for support in implementing cooperative activities outlined in signed memorandums of understanding between Hue and Chinese localities, as well as in facilitating partnership and exchange initiatives between institutions under Hue University and Chinese counterparts.
