At exactly 7:00 p.m. on March 15th, polling stations across Hue City simultaneously closed for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The election was conducted in a serious, democratic, safe, and legal manner.

On the morning of March 15, across Hue City, from urban area to suburban and remote areas, streams of people eagerly headed to polling stations to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. The festival for all people also marked by vivid and heartwarming moments of solidarity and trust of voters.

The teams of doctors and medical staff at local health stations play the role of “gatekeepers” of the healthcare system, helping to reduce the burden on higher-level hospitals and bringing healthcare services closer to the residents.

On the afternoon of December 15, Hue City Department of Health organized a conference to transfer the commune and ward health stations, in their current condition, from the medical centers to the Commune-level People's Committees for management. This is an important step to implement the City People's Committee's decisions on consolidating the organizational model of grassroots healthcare, towards improving management efficiency and promoting the role of local authorities in primary healthcare for People.

On the morning of August 23, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” (TVA project), in collaboration with the People's Committees of Thuan An Ward and Phu Vinh Commune, launched 3 waiting lounges and free drinking water dispenser stations at Phu Thuan, Phu Dien, and Vinh Thanh beaches.

Hue City is promoting green transportation through practical solutions, including electric buses, public bicycles, charging stations, smart parking lots, and applications that support residents in changing their travel habits. This approach aligns with urban characteristics, laying the foundation for a city with low-emission, sustainable, and livable in.

On the morning of July 25, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course titled “Strengthening Integrated Management of Hypertension, Diabetes, and Stroke Prevention in the Community”; it also donated 2.000 electronic blood pressure monitors to health stations and people in the area.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

Due to the heavy rain since the night of November 14 lasting up to now, several sections of the railway through Hue are deeply flooded and it causes many trains to be stuck, making them have to wait at nearby stations to ensure traffic safety.

On August 15, at the mausoleum of Emperor Gia Long, the People's Committee of Hue City in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center held the inauguration of waiting lounges for visitors and water supply stations at three locations, which are the mausoleum of Emperor Gia Long, the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, and the mausoleum of Emperor Dong Khanh.
