Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao, Member of the City Party Committee and Director of Hue City Department of Health, emphasized that in the context of the Politburo's recent issuance of Resolution No.72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of public health, the role of grassroots healthcare has become increasingly significant.
Mr. Tran Kiem Hao affirmed that health stations are not only places for initial examination and treatment, but also centers for community health management, playing a proactive role in preventive medicine, disease prevention and control, management of non-communicable diseases, and comprehensive health care.
According to the handover plan, upon completion, the People's Committees of the communes and wards will be the agencies directly managing the health stations in their areas. Meanwhile, the Department of Health and the medical centers will continue to perform their functions of professional management, technical guidance, and technical supervision, while also coordinating with local authorities in personnel training and development, implementing health programs, and investing in infrastructure and equipment according to the city's roadmap.

The leader of the Department of Health requested the People's Committees of the communes and wards to pay attention to providing adequate necessary conditions for the health stations to operate stably and effectively; coordinate closely with the medical centers in directing professional operations, ensuring there is no disruption to primary healthcare services for People.
Hue City Department of Health affirmed that it will continue to accompany the local People's Committees during the implementation process, as well as promptly addressing difficulties, and advising on appropriate mechanisms and solutions to improve the quality of operations of the grassroots healthcare system. With synchronous coordination between levels and sectors, the health station system in the city is expected to take a new development step, becoming increasingly modern, effective, and closer to the People, better meeting their healthcare needs in the coming time.
