On the morning of August 7, Hue City Department of Health held a training conference to implement the 2025 plan for the project titled “Support for the Implementation of Effective and Sustainable Interventions for Drowning Prevention in Hue City”, with the participation of representatives from various departments, agencies, as well as the People’s Committees of communes and wards, and other related units.

Aiming to create a clean, friendly tourism environment for the health of the community, efforts to prevent and control the harmful effects of tobacco at accommodation facilities, hotels, and resorts in Hue City have recently been strengthened and effectively implemented. Many hotels not only strictly comply with legal regulations but have also creatively developed smoke-free models in alignment with green and sustainable tourism development.

On the morning of July 25, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course titled “Strengthening Integrated Management of Hypertension, Diabetes, and Stroke Prevention in the Community”; it also donated 2.000 electronic blood pressure monitors to health stations and people in the area.

The above activity was recently organized by the Hue City Center for Disease Control (Hue CDC) with the aim of early detection of hypertension, preventing complications, and managing treatment for commune-level healthcare workers and collaborators in the communes of Vinh Loc, Huong Loc, Phu Vang, and Phu Vinh.

On July 3rd, Hue Help Organization launched a safe swimming course as part of a child drowning prevention project funded by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK).

That was the theme of the national-level scientific conference organized on June 21 by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City (Union of Associations) in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Department of Science and Technology, Hue Central Hospital, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Association, and the Infectious Diseases Association of the city. The event gathered leading experts in health, environment, and agriculture - forestry from Vietnam and abroad.

According to statistics from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Dien District, as of June 18, more than 2,377 hectares of rice and vegetables in the district remain submerged due to the impact of the recent floods.

On June 2, at Phu Xuan Secondary School, the Office of Education and Training of Phu Vang District, in coordination with the “Enhancing Community Capacity” Project, held an inauguration ceremony of a swimming pool to help prevent students from drowning at Phu Xuan Secondary School, and launched a swimming and rescue training program for primary and secondary school students in Phu Vang District in 2025.

This was the directive from Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, at the launching ceremony for a water safety and drowning prevention program for residents, children, and students in the area. The event took place at Thuan An beach on the morning of May 24.

A professional training course for swimming and diving lifeguards in 2025, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, is taking place from May 15 to 19 at the city's Sports Center (the swimming pool at 2 Le Quy Don Street). A large number of trainees from the sports and education sectors, as well as water sports businesses in the city, are participating.
