The contest attracted the participation of students from lower secondary schools in the communes of A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2, A Luoi 3, A Luoi 4, and A Luoi 5. Through artistic expression in painting, the students vividly conveyed messages about the harms of traditional tobacco and e-cigarettes, as well as the benefits of building smoke-free living and school environments.
According to CDC Hue leaders, the contest was jointly organized with the People’s Committees of the communes in the A Luoi area to strengthen communication and education activities and raise awareness among students - a group at a critical stage of both physical and mental development. By studying the contest content, students were further equipped with knowledge of the Tobacco Harm Prevention Law and related sanctioning regulations under Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP.
At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee awarded one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and four consolation prizes. The first prize was awarded to Le Loi Secondary School (A Luoi 2 Commune). Many entries were highly evaluated for their ideas, composition, and clear communication messages that are close to students’ daily lives.
During the implementation process, CDC Hue closely coordinated with local communes and schools in providing guidance, judging entries, preparing facilities, and recording videos and photographs for communication purposes. Through these efforts, the tobacco harm prevention message was widely disseminated to parents and the local community.
