The seminar was held in the context of family violence continuing to be a pressing social issue in many countries. The event aimed to exchange international experiences, analyze the current legal frameworks of Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany; from there, proposing solutions to improve policies and enhance the effectiveness of protection for victims of family violence.

Within the framework of the seminar, the presentations and discussions focused on key topics such as: the legal framework, state responsibilities, and sanction mechanisms for acts of family violence under Vietnamese law; the national policy framework for the prevention and control of family violence in the Federal Republic of Germany; “the safe family” model and support institutions for victims; protective and support measures for victims of domestic violence under German law; programs for perpetrators of violence; experiences in protecting the rights of family violence victims in Australia; and insights for Vietnam.

The discussion session at the seminar recorded multiple perspectives, ranging from theory to practicality, contributing to clarifying the challenges, limitations, and urgent needs in improving legislation and mechanisms for protecting human rights in the field of family violence prevention. The seminar not only provided additional scientific data and international experiences but also established an important foundation for policy recommendations, enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement and promoting a safe and equitable living environment for all citizens.
