After nearly two-thirds of the journey of the National Tourism Year (NTY) - Hue 2025, Hue’s tourism industry has recorded many positive results. Speaking with Hue Today Weekly, Director of Hue Department of Tourism Tran Thi Hoai Tram said that the NTY has not only brought strong growth in visitor numbers but also created a ripple effect in destination branding and in positioning the tourism identity of the Ancient Capital among businesses and tourists.

With special scale, character, and significance, the series of activities under “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” held in Hue on September 27 - 28 attracted a great number of locals, domestic and international tourists, as well as international friends.

On the morning of September 27, as part of the 10th National Young Architects Festival - Hue 2025, a professional seminar titled “Green Creativity in Digital Era” took place. The event became a major highlight, attracting a great number of young architects, experts, and enthusiasts interested in the trend of sustainable architectures.

Not only reaching the strong growth in visitor numbers, but the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has also created a ripple effect in promoting the destination’s image and positioning the Ancient Capital’s tourism brand name among businesses and visitors. On the afternoon of August 22nd, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that the number of visitors to Hue during this year’s September 2nd holiday (National Day) is forecast to increase sharply, with an estimated 196,000 arrivals.

This year’s National Day holiday (September 2) lasts four days, providing the perfect opportunity for travelers to plan getaways. According to forecasts from the tourism sector, visitor numbers are expected to rise sharply, with independent travel and short tours emerging as dominant trends.

On August 16, the launch ceremony for the NADO Agricultural Pharmaceutical and Service Trading Cooperative (NADO Cooperative) was held in Doi Hamlet, Khe Tre Commune, Hue City. Attendees included Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; representatives from the city’s departments, branches and sectors; international organizations such as WWF Vietnam; community forest management boards; and a large number of local residents.

Every summer, blood shortages occur at many medical facilities across the country, including Hue Central Hospital - one of the top-tier hospitals that continuously receives a large number of emergency and treatment cases. To ensure an adequate blood supply for saving lives, the hospital has proactively launched an internal blood donation campaign and called on the community to join hands for the sake of patients’ lives.

On the evening of August 10, at Song Huong Theater, the final round of the 7th “Red Laurel” competition in 2025 took place, filled with excitement and suspense, drawing a large number of audience, students, and teachers.

On August 8th, nearly 20 of Vietnam’s leading F&B (food and beverage) brands gathered at the “F&B Hue 2025: The F&B 5.0 Model” event, where they shared practical insights into development trends and applicable solutions for the food and beverage sector. The event was organized by Hue F&B Community and drew a large number of business representatives, shop owners, and others with a keen interest in food and beverage scene in the area.
