Since its launch, the program has received enthusiastic support from numerous units under the Department of Health. Many youth union members, healthcare workers, and employees proactively registered to donate blood, demonstrating a strong spirit of compassion and responsibility toward the community. The atmosphere at the donation site was lively, orderly, and safe, with the support of medical staff, volunteers, and youth union members.

After undergoing health screening, testing, and blood donation in accordance with professional procedures, the program collected over 100 units of blood, exceeding the initial target. All donated blood will be transferred to the blood bank to support emergency care and treatment for patients at medical facilities. This serves as an important supplement amid the growing demand for blood in medical examination and treatment, particularly in emergencies, accidents, or surgical procedures.

According to the organizing committee, voluntary blood donation not only is a deeply humanitarian activity but also reflects the proactive spirit and sense of responsibility of young people in the health sector. These “pink drops of blood” represent a meaningful act of sharing, providing many patients in need of transfusions with a chance to live. At the same time, the program also helps raise awareness among officials, youth union members, and the wider community about the significance of donating blood to save lives.

Through this activity, the Youth Union of the Hue City Department of Health continues to affirm its core role in volunteer movements for the community. In addition to fulfilling their professional duties in caring for people’s health, officials and youth union members in the health sector also actively participate in humanitarian activities, spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual support throughout society.

From community heritage to a maritime vision

Within the cultural complex of Hue, if the system of palaces and royal tombs defines the face of an Imperial capital, the villages along the lagoon and coastline preserve the depth of community life. There, heritage does not lie dormant in the past but lives on in every festival season, every daily custom, and every belief tied to the natural environment. The Cau Ngu Festival of Thai Duong village, held once every three years in January at the Thuan An seaport, is precisely such a heritage - a vibrant cultural practice where community memory, maritime knowledge, and the will to survive have woven together into an enduring whole across hundreds of years.
