On June 26th, Hue City Union of Science and Technology Associations, in coordination with Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, hosted a conference titled “From Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW, dated November 24th, 2023, of the Party Central Committee to the implementation of Resolution No. 54-NQ/TW, dated December 10th, 2019, of the Politburo on the construction and development of Hue City in the new era.”

Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh has requested relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to continue close coordination, urge progress in implementation, and resolve difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for projects, and strive to complete the set goals in 2025.

On the afternoon of April 29, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) successfully performed a transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for the first time on a 76-year-old female patient from Da Nang. This marks the hospital’s first implementation of this technique.

On the afternoon of February 25, in Hue City, the Management Units of the CarBi phase II project of Hue City and Quang Nam Province, in collaboration with the WWF - CarBi project, organized a conference to close the “Carbon and Biodiversity” (CarBi) phase II project, and launch the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework in the Central Annamites.

Hue becoming a centrally-governed municipality not only presents an opportunity for urban transformation, but also contributes to the comprehensive development of its economy and society, ensuring better implementation of the task of preserving and promoting Hue's heritage values ​​and cultural identity. 2024 is a significant year in the process of developing Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed municipality according to Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Therefore, Hue City is focusing its resources and directing the implementation of key development projects to expand urban space, aiming to create connectivity between the city's North and South districts.

At noon on November 28th, a delegation from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) had a working session with the Department of Health to discuss the implementation of the “Enhancing Efficiency in Disease Prevention and Control through a Smart City Model for 2025-2030” project.

On the afternoon of October 7, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, had a meeting with a working delegation from the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (LuxDev) on the implementation of ongoing projects in the area, and the development of proposals for new projects.

This is the goal set by Hue University. Achieving this will not only enhance the role and position of the Institute of Biotechnology in particular and Hue University in general but also the status of the centrally governed city in the coming time. After more than four years of implementation, the project “Hue – The Capital of Ao Dai Vietnam” has more or less received the attention and positive response of the public through many activities and events. Besides, there have been policies that create favourable conditions for businesses operating in the tailoring industry, as well as encourage people to wear ao dai on important occasions and events, which has popularised the image of ao dai.
