Developing digital competence for students is an essential requirement

The program aims to equip administrators and teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to design and implement school education plans that foster students’ digital competence; and to enhance the capacity of administrators and teachers in effectively organizing and implementing DC development for students and learners.

Administrators and teachers were introduced to the digital competence framework for Vietnamese learners; forms of educational activities that support students’ digital development; requirements when integrating DC into school education plans; procedures for implementing the digital competence framework in schools; as well as detailed guidance on integrating DC into professional team plans and teachers’ lesson plans. Participating teachers also practiced designing lesson plans with integrated DC for specific subjects.

After the training, units are required to conduct widespread training to ensure that 100% of teachers access the content; and to supplement school education plans with digital competence development components for each subject and educational activity.
