Promoting market, enhancing tourism service quality

HNN.VN - On the evening of January 30, Hue City Tourism Association held a meeting and launched the implementation of its work plan in 2026.

In 2025, Hue was honored to host the National Tourism Year, leaving a lasting positive impression. The city welcomed an estimated 6.3 million visitors, a 61.5% increase year-on-year. Overnight visitors reached approximately 2.41 million, up nearly 16%; while tourism revenue exceeded 13,000 billion VND, an increase of over 64% year-on-year.

According to Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association and Chairman of Hue City Tourism Association, in 2025, the Association worked closely with the Department of Tourism and relevant agencies to implement practical activities, contributing to the overall growth of the local tourism sector.

In Hue’s tourism development roadmap, 2026 is identified as a year of particular importance, requiring synchronized and effective coordination between the tourism sector, the business community, and related stakeholders to create momentum for breakthrough growth.

From the very beginning of 2026, the Tourism Association has focused on market development. For the international market, the City Tourism Association is cooperating with the Department of Tourism, the Korea Association of Travel Agents in promotional and marketing activities, aiming to tap into visitor sources and open Busan (the Republic of Korea) - Hue direct air route, expected to be done by the end of March.

For the domestic market, Hue City Tourism Association is coordinating with Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to prepare destination survey trips between the two localities. At the same time, it plans to organize a tourism promotion conference in Hue to discuss and propose solutions for the opening of Hue - Nha Trang air route, effectively tapping into the tourism potential and strengths of each locality in the coming time.
