On the afternoon of August 20, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater - Hue Imperial Citadel, the City People’s Committee held a conference themed ‘The digital community pioneers together for a smart, creative, secure, safe, and prosperous Hue in the new era of development’.

A procession of boats taking part in the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) traveled one after another from downtown Hue City upstream along the Huong River toward Mount Ngoc Tran, creating a lively atmosphere on the river.

On the afternoon of August 19th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh led a delegation on a field trip to inspect investment and production activities at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone and Phu Bai Industrial Park. Leaders of relevant departments, agencies, localities and units also joined the delegation.

Organized by the Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the ‘Hue and the Flow of History’ Film Week runs from August 19 to September 5.

Among Vietnamese cities, Hue stands out as an ideal city to build a future "15-Minute City." There, all daily essential needs of residents - such as work, education, shopping, healthcare, entertainment, and relaxation - can be reached within a 15-minute walk or bicycle ride. This idea is currently being pursued and researched by female architect Tran Thi Quynh Huong, a young Hue native dedicated to sustainable urban development.

Ceramic mosaic inlay has long contributed to the beauty of Hue’s royal architecture. Continuing these values, young artisan Huynh Kim Nhat Minh, born in the 1990s in Phu Xuan ward of Hue City, has devoted great passion to creating new works, bringing the art of ceramic mosaic inlay closer to everyday life.

On the morning of August 18, at the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh’s childhood in Duong No Village (Duong No Ward), Hue City Youth and Children’s Center, in coordination with Ho Chi Minh Museum of Hue City, organized the 2026 history-learning journey ‘Following Uncle Ho’s Footsteps - Pride in Our Homeland’s Traditions’.

On the afternoon of August 18, the Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of Hue City Party Committee organized a digital literacy training course for officials and civil servants working at Party Committee advisory and support agencies in 2026.

The Government’s issuance of Decree No. 282/2026/ND-CP on July 14th, 2026, to provide guidance for the implementation of Resolution No. 28/2026/QH16 on the development of Vietnamese culture and establishing criteria for piloting the cultural heritage city model, has opened up a new approach to the relationship between conservation and development.

On August 15, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, in coordination with Hue University, held a ceremony to award scholarships to students facing difficult circumstances in the city.
