On the morning of June 17th, Hue City People's Committee held a meeting and commendation ceremony for Hue Football Club following its achievement of securing one of the two direct promotion spots to compete in the National First Division for the 2026/2027 season. The event was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee. Also in attendance were Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

The People's Committee of Hoa Chau Ward has officially issued a plan for the organization of Hoa Chau City Trail 2026. This will be the first event of its kind in Hue, combining road running and trail running (City Trail), with the longest distance extending up to 42 kilometers.

On the afternoon of June 14th, the Hue’s ‘Heritage Doors’ exhibition opened at Kien Trung Palace in Hue Imperial Citadel, introducing the public to dozens of remarkable artworks inspired by the heritage of the Ancient Capital. Over three days of the “Lang Co - World Beautiful Bay 2026” program (June 5 - 7), Chan May - Lang Co Commune welcomed 38,000 visitor arrivals who came to sightsee, relax, and experience the series of activities held as part of the program.

Amid the cool mountain air of Bach Ma National Park, beneath a star-filled sky and alongside the gentle murmur of streams flowing through the park’s majestic landscape, a group of young performers from Hon Viet Event treated visitors to an emotionally musical night show with “Symphony No. 5: A Date with the Clouds and Sky”.

On June 3, at Ly Tu Trong Park in Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with the City’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, the Social Work and Child Protection Center, together with various units, organizations, and benefactors, organized the “Festival for children in special circumstances 2026”. The event aimed to provide meaningful encouragement to hundreds of children in difficult circumstances across the city on the occasion of the Action Month for Children 2026.

On May 30, the 2026 Imperial City Scientific Conference on infectious diseases was held at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. The event attracted nearly 250 delegates and almost 20 leading experts in infectious diseases, microbiology, and tropical diseases from across Vietnam.

As part of the celebrations for Vesak 2570 (Buddhist Era) and Hue Festival 2026, the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 officially opened on the afternoon of May 28th (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month) at the riverside area along the Perfume River. The event is jointly organized by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City and the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026.

On the morning of May 29, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the project “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” (TVA) project/WWF-Viet Nam, organized the event “From Check-in Green Hue to Plastic-Free Tourism - A Journey of Spreading”.

On the morning of May 29, the Department of Tourism announced that Hue Lotus Festival 2026 will take place from June 19 to 21 under the theme “Ngu lien thuc thuy” (Royal Lotus Awakens the Water). Featuring a wide range of cultural, artistic, and culinary activities as part of Hue Festival 2026, the event is expected to become a vibrant summer attraction for both residents and visitors.
