New and exciting events to debut at Hue Sports Festival 2026

Yoga - one of the activities returning to this year's Hue Sports Festival

Hue Sports Festival 2026 will take place from July 15 to August 30, featuring a wide range of sporting events, including: The 1st Hue Taekwondo Festival 2026; Hue Pickleball Festival 2026 - Louis Cup; International Day of Yoga and the 2nd Hue City Open Yoga Championship 2026; Hue Sports Festival 2026 Balance Bike Race; 2026 National Health-Promoting Exercise Championship; 2nd Vu Bao Sport Hue City Badminton Championship for various age groups; 2nd Hue Ancient Capital 3x3 Basketball Tournament; 2026 Three-Cushion Carom Billiards Tournament.

The festival will also include: Hue City 2026 Seven-a-Side Football Tournament; Hue Night Jogging 2026; SLine Tennis 2026; Hue SUP Race 2026; 2026 Uyen Phuong Open Pickleball Championship; Dance Showcase Festival 2026; 2026 National Archery Championship for Top Teams; Hue Imperial Dancesport Festival 2026; Aqua Warriors Hue City 2026; Hue Amazing Marathon 2026.

Among the festival's 19 events, six will make their debut this year: Taekwondo; Health-promoting exercise; Hue Night Jogging; Archery; Aqua Warriors (swim-run competition) and Hue Amazing Marathon.

According to Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, the addition of new events, together with the increased participation of organizations and businesses compared with 2025 (when the festival featured only 12 events), demonstrates the festival's growing appeal.

“Through each edition, Hue Sports Festival has proven to be an effective model for promoting social participation in sports and highlighting the community spirit of organizations and businesses. This has played an important role in expanding the sports and physical training exercise while also stimulating tourism in Hue," Vice Chairman Giang said.

The 4th Hue Sports Festival will officially open at 7:00 p.m. on August 1st at Tu Do Stadium. The 1st Hue Taekwondo Festival, to be held on July 15th at the Van The My Sports Arena (11 Dong Da Street), has been selected as the opening event of this year's festival.
